The kids and I went out this morning to move the herd from pasture 1 to pasture 4. It’s always a team effort—usually we like to have three people: one person opens the gates, one person stands at the midway point to make sure that no calves slip through the fencing or get turned around, and one person walks along behind the herd, closing the gates as they move along. The chicken coop that’s falling down. Thankfully the actual structure is great but the run needs some of its own restoration. After we lost some of our chickens last year to a hawk we decided during the day while we are gone chickens have to be in the run. ⠀⠀ So this is definitely on the docket for items to be repaired!
