A year ago today I moved into the guesthouse with everything I owned, including three cats and my dog Isla. Three trains and two station changes between the north west of England where we lived in the Lake District to the north east coast where I knew no one but where the cost of living was much cheaper. We moved after the landlord put the house on the market and I realised that I could continue shelling out large sums of money on a manky rented place each month or downsize, become a full time author and then buy the ...

After months of saving up I was finally able to get the cats (and Isla) a running wheel. Esa was worn out just helping me to unbox and put it together he was so excited. Training has now begun but Esa is leading the way so far. Turns out treadmills make great places for a nap too! #onefastcat#cattreadmill @one_fast_cat
I'm busy working this weekend but if I could go anywhere in the world I think I would visit Cheddar Gorge. I went there on a school trip a couple of times in primary school and I remember it being awe inspiring. Apart from all the buses and tourists. I'd love to go back again one day. Do you have any weekend plans? And if you could go anywhere in the world for the weekend, where would it be? Happy Friday ❤️and you know what that means don't you....it's #freebookfriday xx
Behind the scenes on #gentlemanjack for #throwbackthursday I wrote a little blog post too. Always awe inspiring when you get to play the part of a job your ancestors did in the same location in real life.
I've been a bit quiet this week with being on set 🎥🎥 so just catching back up now. It's pretty dark and rainy here on the North East coast today, so I will be mainly drinking ☕️ and catching up on the #writinglife I've just posted an #audiobook for you patrons on the @patreon page so I hope that brightens your day a little. Have a fab day everyone. Sarah xx
Have a fabulous week everyone, full of magic and calm. This sunset is from the beach when I lived in Latvia by the Baltic Sea. Sunsets were amazing there. I'm on the east coast of England by the North Sea now so get the sunrise over the sea instead.

Happy National Doughnut 🍩 day to you all. It's a wet and grey day here on the North East coast of England but that's my favourite kind of weather. Perfect for a cup of tea and a nice slice of cake indoors! Tea shop weather. And perhaps a doughnut or two 😊

I've just uploaded this week's Free Book Friday cozy mystery books to the blog, so you have over 50 books to go and download for free. This weekend is #worldoceansday so you have plenty of ocean themed mysteries too. Have a fab weekend everyone. I'm away filming for much of next week so I'll be doing another postcard roulette, details in the newsletter as always. Lots of love xx www.sarahweldon.co.uk/blog
One of my favourite things to do! Skyping with schools all over the world as part of my charity Oceans Project. Love this photo from one of my Minnesota schools from a while back. Speaking about everything from exploration, STEM careers, overcoming adversity, to becoming an author. Such a cool time to live in when you can publish your books no matter how young you are! #throwbackthursday#tbthursday
