Get lost in the world that captured millions of hearts! The Kings Road full of swirling mist in the first light of dawn, what could be better? If you book me for a sunrise session at the Hedges, just so you know, I’ll be praying we get “bad” weather. This place was made for misty, rainy, stormy goodness!
Two centuries after being planted, the ethereal tunnel remains a magnificent sight and has become known as The Dark Hedges, one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland and a popular attraction for tourists from across the world. With its mysterious and spectacular play of light and tranquillity the site has inspired visiting artists and photographers. Antrim-born composer Elaine Agnew premiered her compelling Dark Hedges composition at the BBC Proms in 2012. . . . #thedarkhedgesnorthernireland#thedarkhedges
"King's Road", Panorama of Dark Hedges in the Morning, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom #ansharphoto#northernireland From "Tales of Albion" Fine Art Collection Panorama from 7 vertical shots, additional exposures for highlights, focal length 180mm, aperture f/11, shutter speed 1/6, ISO 64, tripod. One of my favorite stops on the trip through the UK and Ireland was the Dark Hedges, a famous avenue of beeches planted in the 1700s. Over the centuries, the trees have become gnarled and twisted, and appear to reach out over the road, making a particularly picturesque ...
Log #1121 The Dark Hedges - Ballymoney ★★★½ Overrated! Dear diary... The Darth Hedges, a mythical place, is by far overrated. It's full of tourists and, yes, it's beautiful, but I've seen roads, just as beautiful if not more so, elsewhere in the world. Streets, unknown to everyone, where there was absolutely no one! ----- Surévalué! Cher journal...

Awk it's one of them there authentic Irish weather days! Doesn't seem to be slowing down the tourists though, which is great to see! They have more wit than the locals, and are wearing all the right waterproof gear and carrying umbrellas! It's the simple solutions 😁 The Bouncy Castles are up, donkeys are arriving slowly but surely, one seems to be hollering at me, wondering if he is a tea drinker or more into his Lattes? Mon down and join in the craic #coffeevan#coffee
Withdrawal symptoms of GOT, took me to Dark hedges (kings road), Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge (Brian of Tarth fighting pit) and dunluce castle (pike). Norther Ireland... PC @mich.almeida #gameofthrones#kingsroadgot
We’ve made it to Northern Ireland and started heading west! Stopped off here tonight, filming location for the Kings Road in Game of Thrones. We really wanted a shot looking out of the van with the trees in the background, but we behaved (many didn’t!). The road has been closed due to the huge numbers of people now visiting to try and protect the trees from any further damage. Definitely nice to not have hundreds of cars blocking the view too.
