Took a long drive after work yesterday and ended up in Lake Keepit. This is where my husband’s family settled almost 200 years ago. The lake is so empty that the old homestead and we’ll have been exposed.
Keepit lake was a water reservoir for the Tamworth area. Five years into the drought just 1.5% of the water is left, preserved to keep alive what remains of the wildlife. A floating waterslide is now far from the shore. 3/4 #australia#nsw
📺VIDEO: A Visit to what is usually a full and fun lake with a lot of water sport activities for all the town, but on my visit the drought has hit it quite hard and it’s all dried up and no people. Amazing sight. This is Lake Keepit #travelgram#travelholic
